Who can use TheEgg App?
The app is tailored for three types of users: Intended Parents, Surrogates, and Read-Only Guests. Each role has specific access permissions to ensure privacy and smooth collaboration. Read-Only Guests can include family members, friends, or professionals whom with you may want to share your journey.
Do I need surrogacy agency if I'm using TheEgg App?
You do not need to use a surrogacy agency if you are using TheEgg App for Self-Management, but there are important considerations.
Managing your journey independently means you will need to handle legal agreements, medical coordination, background screenings, and emotional support directly with your chosen surrogate or intended parent.
TheEgg App can help you organize documentation, track milestones and expenses, and facilitate collaboration. Make sure you consult legal and medical professionals to ensure all regulatory and ethical requirements are met in your province or country.
How does TheEgg keep my information secure?
TheEgg stores data on encrypted servers, uses secure connections, and follows privacy-by-design practices inspired by current guidance for reproductive health apps where data sensitivity is high.
What surrogacy milestones can I track?
You can track matching, medical screening, contract signing, embryo transfer, pregnancy appointments, delivery planning, birth, and post‑partum follow‑up, along with country‑specific steps like Canadian legal milestones.
Can TheEgg help me track surrogacy expenses?
Yes. TheEgg lets you log reimbursements, medical costs, travel, and other journey expenses, so both surrogate and intended parents can see what’s been paid and what’s outstanding.
Is TheEgg available outside Canada?
The app is designed for international surrogacy journeys and can be used by families and surrogates in different countries, with localized resources where available.
How much does TheEgg cost?
TheEgg uses a subscription model where one paid seat provides a single login and access to all features for $2.99 USD per month or $24.99 USD per year. Intended Parents are asked to purhcase 2-3 seats, which included one for their Surrogate. Read only seats are free.
What happens to my data after the journey is over?
At the end of your journey, you can keep read‑only access to your timeline and documents, and you can request export or deletion of your data in line with digital reproductive‑health privacy best practices.
